Problem
When mentors go to submit reviews to the regional admins, sometimes extra characters are inserted by the mentor when deciding what reviews to choose for publication. Usually this is when they're deciding between two reviews and want to make note while editing which they really liked. However, it's important to know that only the defined number of reviews can be successfully ranked and submitted. For example, if 5 reviews are to be selected, there cannot be 6, 7, or 8; only 1 through 5.
Solution
- Login as the EDITOR mentor assigned to the show being reviewed.
- Click the "Submit Edited Reviews" link under the show in question
- Review the ranking column to ensure that only the defined number of reviews for publication are respected
Look for erroneous characters in each field such as spaces ( ), commas (,), or apostrophes (') – these characters are not accepted by the system.
Double clicking in each ranking box will reveal items such as spaces ( ) when troubleshooting why reviews won't submit.
- Once all items have been corrected, ensure that the checklist at the bottom of the page is complete and click submit. This will then move the reviews into the admin area for final selection/editing.
